Lynda Ford, our Music Director and Organist, is moving to North Carolina. Her last Sunday at ECA will be January 8th. Lynda works full time at Cisco and her department was moved about a year ago, however Cisco has allowed her to remain in San Jose until her home sold. She and Barry now have their house in escrow, which will close by the end of the year. In no way does her leaving have anything to do with Shelley’s retirement.
There is a plan for covering Sundays and finding a new Music Director, and the Wardens will keep you updated. In the meantime, we wish Lynda all the best. She has been such a blessing to ECA. She is so appreciated and will be missed so very much.
A Note From Shelley:
I send my heartfelt gratitude and thanks to all the members of ECA for the amazing, touching, wonderful retirement party you planned and carried off (secretly!) The food was superb, the skit both funny and touching. The book of Memories is a treasure to be enjoyed over and over, the beautiful watercolor of the church by Michelle Ruffo, and the gift of money for the world’s most comfortable chair was above and beyond – so thoughtful, so generous! (The chair is ordered!) Thank you, thank you, one and all!
I also want to reiterate what a privilege and a joy it has been for me to serve as your Rector for the past seven and a half years. I have learned so much from you all and you are very dear to my heart. You will remain in my prayers, and I have every confidence that you will continue to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit! Blessings on you all and your gospel work together.
